2, 4, 6, 8! Skip Counting is Really Great!

I came across these videos back when I was teaching odd and even.  And after one of my darlings requested the "get up, get down song" for working music last week, I found this whole playlist of all the videos!  I'm talking counting by every number up to 12!  The videos are super adorable, and the songs are catchy!  Now I don't show the videos (but they're fabulous for those quick minute breaks!!), I just minimize the youtube window and the song plays through our projection system (I don't even have to have the projector on!)  If you use the link that I'm sending you to below, you just hit play once and then all the songs will play (like a playlist, which it is, haha!)

Let me know if you use these in your room!  Your munchkins will love them, I promise!!

math fact practice

so I was blog stalking today and I was directed to https://www.xtramath.org/home

-the welcome video has me hooked.  my first school district had purchased "math facts in a flash" and required the students to log on daily.  this site looks very similar, but FREE!!
-I like that you can set up a class and it can be assigned as homework (and you can tell if they did their hw or not by checking your email :D)

So my question is this.... has anyone used this site before?  thoughts?  do y'all think this would be worth researching?

Some First Grade Math Stuff

this first link is for an abc grid of 1st grade math vocab. math vocab!

and this is for 180 days of math journal prompts.  I printed these on labels at the beginning of the year so that I didn't have an excuse not to use them.  I'm going to be doing something else for math journals in second grade, but I wanted to put these out here for y'all to use!  There are 20 of each prompt (I had such a nice, even number of firsties!)  math journal prompts
