classroom set-up, day 1

Today was the first day that I could get into my new classroom at my new school, so of course that means I was up until the wee hours of the morning wigging out and not being able to sleep.  Which means that I did NOT get to the school at 9am like I had planned, but instead got there at 10:30... but I don't feel too bad because my neighbor got there at 9:30 and had only spent about 5 minutes in her room by the time that I got there.  I took pictures as soon as I walked in the door, and of course... I left my camera at the school.  So I will be sure to take pictures first thing tomorrow so y'all can see what all I got done (and make you feel way more productive by the lack of actual stuff accomplished).  I did do a really great job of moving stuff from the floor to the table, though!  I set up three of my four table groups (actually they're desks) and set out their baskets.  I also did a great job of griping about the summer school class that was in there... they jumbled up all my computer cords :(  major pet peeve right there!  I also decided on fabric for my calendar, daily 5, and cafe boards, but I'll get the cafe fabric on Friday (which means new border, too!!)  um.... oh, I also met the media specialist and printed and laminated a whole bunch of things that I'm in the middle of cutting out while I enjoy last night's TV episodes on hulu!

I'm going to edit this post tomorrow evening to include the pictures that I took today, so if you're reading this tonight, check back tomorrow night for the good stuff!!
